The 2023 IRVAP Conference - Animal Therapy for the Future was held at the Leonardo Hotel, Hinckley Island Hotel, Watling St, Burbage, Hinckley LE10 3JA on 27th October 2023. This was an amazing opportunity for like minded therapists to network and connect.

The IRVAP conference was a brilliant celebration of friendly conversations, sharing ideas and outstanding CPD lectures. Tickets sold out within three weeks of release in August 2023. The venue was superb and provided great food and refreshments throughout the day. The hotel was a fantastic place for therapists to come together and gain valuable CPD hours for their career portfolio.

Conversations and Sharing

RAMP had their stand alongside the IRVAP stands of your different categories and benefits - Mentoring and Coaching, IEH, ICH, Student Hub, Registration Desk and our Group Insurance. See below the moments of conversations, CPD viewpoints and sharing time together on the day.

IRVAP Mentoring and Support Conference Roundup

Thank you so much to all of you who visited our mentoring and support stand at the conference this year and to those that have reached out to us since. It was lovely and busy, and great to talk you about lone working, the work life balance and ways to destress. We had information on building the therapist toolbox to help manage and nurture our wellbeing whilst managing our work. We also were able to discuss learning to sit with difficulty as we know from speaking to you all that working within a compassionate role can have an enormous pull on our emotional selves and it is important to be aware and embrace this in our working lives. Other resources included relaxation techniques as well as practical advice on managing our time and creating boundaries. For those that couldn’t make the conference we have added these resources to our member space.
